CIE Automotive India has acquired a 26.09% stake in Suryadeep GJ3 Project Private Limited for ₹0.48 Cr. Suryadeep, a renewable energy company, is developing a 1.6 MWp captive solar power plant. This strategic investment allows CIE Automotive to qualify as a captive consumer, crucial for optimizing power costs at its Rajkot, Gujarat factories. This move enhances operational efficiency and promotes sustainable energy sourcing, with Suryadeep now an Associate company.
