Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited — Investor Meet, 16-05-2026: Analysts/Institutional Investor Meet/Con. Call Updates
Shyam Metalics reported robust Q4 FY26 and full-year FY26 results. Q4 revenue grew 27% YoY to INR 5,240 Cr, with PAT up 42% to INR 312 Cr. For FY26, revenue increased 22% to INR 18,552 Cr and PAT rose 17% to INR 1,061 Cr, delivering EPS of INR 38.1. Sales volume grew 22% YoY in Q4, with strong increases in CR coil (+200%), pig iron (+200%), and iron pellets (+40%), driven by commissioning new facilities like the blast furnace and CRM complex. Realizations also improved across key products.
The company announced a new INR 2,700 Cr capex: INR 900 Cr for an 8 lakh-tonne long and specialty wire/bar mill (Kharagpur, by March 2029) and INR 1,800 Cr for a 6 million-tonne stainless steel expansion with downstream facilities (Sambalpur, by March 2029). These investments, primarily funded by strong internal accruals (INR 2,000 Cr operating cash flow in FY26), target higher value-added and specialty segments for better margins. Management expects FY27 EBITDA growth of around 30% and is confident in meeting compliance for CPCB observations. The company maintains a conservative debt policy (debt not to exceed 0.5x equity) and is "oversold" on aluminum exports.
