18-05-2026 · 03:58 pm
Deccan Gold Mines announced encouraging drilling results at its Bhalukona Nickel-Copper-PGE Composite Licence in Chhattisgarh. The maiden drilling campaign confirmed extensive sulphide mineralisation across a 1.3-kilometre strike zone. The first drill hole intersected over 60 metres of mineralised gabbro, including nearly 30 metres of potentially economic sulphide zones averaging approximately 0.4% nickel equivalent. Microscopic analysis validated pentlandite, chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite. The company plans to accelerate drilling to establish a mineable resource and fast-track mining lease applications, aiming to develop India’s first Ni-Cu-PGE mine. This discovery marks a significant step for India's critical minerals landscape.
