Deccan Gold announced a significant nickel-copper-PGE mineralization discovery at its Bhalukona project in Chhattisgarh. The first drill hole intersected over 60m of mineralized gabbro, with approximately 30m of potentially economic sulphide mineralization averaging 0.4% Ni_Eq. A high-grade section revealed 2.6m at 1.01% Ni, 0.29% Cu, and 0.2g/t Pd. The company has completed about 1200m of drilling across 7 holes, confirming widespread mineralization. This discovery validates the project's geological potential, prompting accelerated drilling to define resources and advance plans for what could be India’s first nickel-copper-PGE mine.
