Hindustan Zinc Limited — Pledging, 19-05-2026: Pledge/Unpledge

Vedanta has released encumbrances on shares of its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc (HZL). This means conditions tied to its 50.1% holding in HZL, previously created for Debentures, are now gone as those Debentures are fully repaid.

Specifically, a pledge on 4.28 Cr HZL shares (1.01% of total) created in May 2024 has been fully released in stages. This reduces Vedanta's total encumbered stake in HZL from 55.83% to 50.10%, a positive for promoter holding transparency. #HZL #Vedanta
