Key growth drivers include consolidating its core Hydrocarbon & Petrochemical sectors, expanding international operations (Middle East, Africa), and strategic diversification into biofuels, urban infrastructure, and coal gasification. EIL is also focusing on collaborative technology development, especially in green technologies like Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Recent major orders include a large overseas refinery expansion project in Nigeria worth ₹3,250 Cr and significant domestic project management consultancy contracts.
Management is bullish on India's energy transition, projecting oil demand growth to 6.7 mb/d and refining capacity to 310-320 MMTPA by 2030, alongside increased natural gas share. They see vast opportunities in infrastructure, green hydrogen, and biofuels, driven by government initiatives and substantial capex plans across sectors.
