HPL reports a robust FY26, with revenue hitting a record ₹1,811.10 Cr (+6.52% YoY) and Q4 crossing ₹500 Cr for the first time. Consumer & Industrial (C&I) is now a strong second growth engine, soaring 25.62% YoY to ₹784.67 Cr, fueled by a 50% jump in Wires & Cables. Smart Metering, after industry disruptions, saw sequential recovery, with Q4 being its strongest at ₹305.74 Cr.

For FY27, HPL plans to scale both verticals, focusing on margin protection through pricing, R&D-led differentiation, and efficient capacity expansion. The company launched a new facility for AMI Water Meters (Neeram Pulse), expanding its strategic metering platform.

Financially, FY26 EBITDA margin improved to 15.54% (+56 bps YoY) and gross margin to 36.01% (+97 bps YoY). Cash profit grew 13.43% to ₹155.51 Cr (Cash EPS ₹24.15). PAT saw a slight moderation to ₹91.25 Cr due to depreciation and input costs. HPL holds a strong order book exceeding ₹3,200 Cr, ensuring good visibility. Management notes that while Smart Metering remains a long-term opportunity, water metering's near-term impact won't be significant.
