SOM Distilleries (SDBL) faced a tough Q4 FY26: Revenue fell 46% YoY to 182 Cr, leading to a net loss of 5.7 Cr. Full-year FY26 saw revenue decline 14.8% to 1,233.3 Cr, with net profit down 90% to 10.2 Cr. Volumes were hit by temporary license issues and weak Karnataka demand.

Despite headwinds, SDBL is pushing strategic growth. Its 600 Cr greenfield brewery and distillery in Uttar Pradesh is in trial production, set to boost capacity and market reach. The premium Mahavat whisky is successfully expanding into MP, Delhi, and UP. Woodpecker Beer also earned "Rising Star 2025" recognition.

Management notes cost pressures ahead but remains focused on strengthening manufacturing. Gross Debt increased by 43 Cr in FY26. The company sees UP as a core market, aiming for share gains and volume growth from new excise policies in Karnataka.
