IndiGo posted Q4 FY26 net loss of ₹2,540 Cr (FY26 loss: ₹2,390 Cr), mainly due to ₹4,820 Cr in forex losses. Stripping these out, Q4 net profit was ₹1,920 Cr. Total Q4 income reached ₹23,800 Cr (+3%).
For Q1 FY27, capacity is expected to grow 3-4% with mid-teens unit revenue improvement, balancing rising fuel and forex costs. IndiGo will optimize its fleet by returning expensive damp leases and older aircraft. New CEO Willie Walsh will prioritize international expansion through a hybrid model, while protecting core short-haul operations and strengthening the balance sheet.
