dium in Margao, Goa, today at

6.30 p.m., in what promises to be

a fi tting conclusion to the tour-

nament. Entry to the stadium is

free for fans.

For India, the fi nal repres-

ents an opportunity to reclaim

a title they last won in 2019 and

win a record-extending sixth

SAFF Women’s

Championship

trophy. For

Bangladesh,

it is a chance

to complete

an unprecedented hat-trick of

SAFF Women’s Championship

crowns after lifting the trophy in

2022 and 2024.

Th e two teams have emerged

as the region’s dominant forces,

making this a meeting that many

expected from the moment the

tournament began. Yet there is

an added layer of intrigue. Th e

sides already met in the group

stage, where India delivered

a statement performance, de-

feating Bangladesh 3-0 through

goals from Pyari Xaxa, Lynda

SAFF Championship before fol-

lowing it up with a 3-1 victory
