Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has incorporated "Green Maritime Propulsion Private Limited," a new Joint Venture with HBL Engineering. CSL has invested Rs. 3.60 crore for a 40% stake in the JV, which has an initial capital of Rs. 9 crore. This strategic move aims to develop electric mobility and energy storage solutions for the maritime sector. The collaboration aligns with India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, leveraging both companies' strengths to capitalize on the growing global trend towards electric and hybrid propulsion systems in shipping, enhancing CSL's product portfolio in sustainable maritime technologies.
