Balu Forge saw robust FY26 financial results with revenue hitting Rs. 1,107.4 Cr, up 19.9% YoY, and profit after tax (PAT) at Rs. 258.9 Cr, a 27.0% increase. Basic EPS rose 24.2% to Rs. 23.90. The company achieved a strong Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) of 21.7% and Return on Equity (ROE) of 19.6%.

A key growth driver is the expansion into high-value engineering sectors. Defence, Aerospace, and Railways now contribute 13% of FY26 revenue (up from 5% in FY24) and represent ~50% of the order book, with strategic capacity enhancements underway.

Recent developments include commissioning a large-caliber ammunition shell line (360,000 shells p.a.) and advanced 7-Axis/11-Axis CNC machining lines. The company secured its maiden aerospace order from Alpha Aircraft Systems Inc., USA, and a 30,000-unit order for 152mm artillery shells. It has also been inducted into the NATO supply chain and signed a 5-year MoU for large-caliber ammunition. Its subsidiary, Quantum Energetics, is entering the advanced energetics segment. Credit rating was upgraded to [ICRA]A-(Stable) / [ICRA]A2+. Management anticipates continued growth from non-automotive sectors.
