Deccan Gold Mines' Jonnagiri Gold Project has been inaugurated, marking a key milestone for the company. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched the project, touring operations and laying the foundation for a processing plant expansion. The Jonnagiri project currently processes 1,000 tonnes of ore daily, yielding 400-600 kg of gold annually. With the expansion, it will treat 2,500 tonnes per day, producing over 1 tonne of gold per year. This initiative is set to boost economic growth in Kurnool District and significantly contribute to India's domestic gold production.
