Competent Automobiles has issued a notice to shareholders regarding the transfer of equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). Shares where dividends have remained unpaid or unclaimed for seven consecutive years or more will be transferred to the IEPF. The company is notifying affected shareholders individually and has published a list on its website. Shareholders with unclaimed dividends from Financial Year 2018-19 onwards must claim them by August 28, 2026. Failure to do so will result in shares being transferred to the IEPF authority, after which claims must be made directly to the IEPF.
