UNO Minda Limited — JV/Acquisition, 07-07-2026: Acquisition

Uno Minda is expanding its automotive seating business. The company approved a new greenfield manufacturing facility for 4W Passenger Vehicle Seating Systems, a project costing approximately Rs. 320 Cr. This expansion will be executed through Uno Minda Tachi-S Seating Pvt. Ltd. (UMTS), their 51% owned joint venture. Uno Minda will invest an additional Rs. 93 Cr in UMTS equity. This move targets business growth and addresses customer demand, aiming to add 2.4 lakh units annually, with production starting Q4 FY 2027-28, solidifying their position in the growing automotive components market.
