NLCIL and NALCO formed a 50:50 JV to develop a 1,080 MW captive power plant in Odisha. This plant will supply 100% power for NALCO's 0.5 MTPA aluminium expansion project for 25 years, with NLCIL providing coal. Strategic for both.
