Brahmaputra Infrastructure Ltd, in a Joint Venture with HBMCPL, has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a railway EPC contract valued at approximately ₹137.60 crore from Northeast Frontier Railway Construction. This project involves earthwork, structures, railway electrification, and signalling works for the initial stretch of the new Kokrajhar–Gelephu cross-border rail line. This 69-km corridor has an announced total project cost of approximately ₹3,456 crore. Securing this first package establishes the company's presence on this strategic route, positioning it favorably for potential participation in future construction phases as the line progresses toward Bhutan.
