Bank of Maharashtra reported strong Q1 FY27 results. Total business grew 19.10% YoY to ₹6,50,457 Cr, driven by a 26.90% surge in global advances to ₹3,05,964 Cr. Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) advances climbed 25.11%. Net Profit jumped 26.84% YoY to ₹2,020 Cr, with Operating Profit up 21.29% and Net Interest Income rising 14.53%.
The bank is actively pushing digital innovation through its Zen Lyfe app, new digital Mudra facilities up to ₹10 lakh, and digital vehicle loan onboarding for new customers. It also champions ESG, investing in green finance schemes and E-waste recycling.
Asset quality significantly improved, with Gross NPA dropping to 1.45% (from 1.74% YoY) and Net NPA to 0.13% (from 0.18% YoY). Provision Coverage Ratio stands strong at 98.55%. Return on Assets improved to 1.90%, and EPS hit ₹2.63.
Operating in a favorable economic environment, Bank of Maharashtra's strong performance, improved asset quality, and strategic digital and green initiatives position it for continued robust growth.
