Central Bank of India delivered strong Q1 FY27 financial results! Net Profit soared 13.26% YoY to ₹1,324 Cr, with total income growing 3.08% to ₹10,678 Cr. Global business expanded 18.29% to ₹833,320 Cr, propelled by robust global advances up 28.58% to ₹354,348 Cr. Deposits rose 11.68% to ₹478,972 Cr. Asset quality improved significantly, with Gross NPA at 2.60% (down 53 bps YoY) and Net NPA stable at 0.49%. Return on Equity (ROE) climbed to 14.92%.
The bank's strategy emphasizes 'Aspirational & Sustainable Growth' and a strong digital push, expanding its Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) segments, which now represent 68% of global advances. Digital initiatives like Cent eeZ and Cent eeZ Vyapaar Saathi are driving customer onboarding and corporate banking.
Notably, the bank launched its IFSC Banking Unit in GIFT City in June 2026, aiming to become a key partner for global Indian businesses. Digital processes were also enhanced, facilitating NRI onboarding via Cent eeZ. Management's Q1 performance surpassed most of its FY27 guidance, highlighting a focus on high growth while maintaining asset quality.
