Kanco Tea & Industries provided an update on flood conditions at its Bamonpookrie and Mackeypore Tea Estates. At Bamonpookrie, water has subsided, leaving approximately one foot of sludge in affected areas. An insurance surveyor is assessing the damage, and the company plans a full evaluation for recovery and restoration steps. At Mackeypore Tea Estate, water levels have also reduced, and operations, including plucking green tea leaves and manufacturing, have resumed.
