Ujjivan SFB delivered a strong Q1FY27. Total Deposits grew 24.6% YoY to ₹48,129 Cr, with CASA up 37.8% YoY to ₹12,930 Cr. The Gross Loan Book expanded to ₹42,903 Cr, a 29% YoY increase, with secured loans now 50.4% of the book, growing 43% YoY. Gold Loan & Vehicle Finance each crossed the ₹1,000 Cr mark. GNPA stood at 2.2% and NNPA at 0.3%.
The bank's strategy focuses on digital expansion and secured lending. 71% of retail term deposits and 96.6% of savings accounts were opened digitally. New offerings include Mutual Fund distribution and Co-Branded Credit Cards. Data analytics generated ₹429 Cr+ in new business volume and recovered ₹20 Cr+ from written-off loans this quarter.
Net Interest Income (NII) was ₹1,186 Cr, with NIM stable at 8.5%. Pre-Provision Operating Profit (PPoP) hit a record ₹548 Cr, up 6.5% sequentially. Net Profit after Tax (PAT) surged 207% YoY to ₹317 Cr, leading to an EPS of ₹1.63 (vs ₹0.53 last year). RoA was 2.2% and RoE 18.2%.
Management is confident, revising FY27 RoA guidance to 1.8%-2.0%. The bank is on track for its full-year Gross Loan Book growth target of approximately 25%, driven by consistent income, disciplined operating expenses, and stable credit costs.
