SBI Cards delivered a strong Q1 FY27, with Profit After Tax (PAT) jumping 20% YoY to ₹664 Cr, primarily driven by improved credit costs. Revenue from operations grew 3% YoY to ₹5,041 Cr. Overall customer spends increased 27% YoY to ₹118,475 Cr, while Cards-in-Force expanded 7% YoY to 2.26 Cr. New accounts sourced crossed 1 million, reaching 0.10 Cr, up 17% YoY.

The company is enhancing digital offerings, launching travel bookings on its mobile app via E-Store to boost customer engagement. Strategic partnerships remain a key growth driver, with the BPCL co-branded card surpassing 5 million users and an ongoing Apple campaign offering discounts. UPI spends on RuPay cards showed robust growth, notably in travel, hotel, and restaurant categories.

Asset quality improved, with Gross NPA decreasing to 2.04% and Net NPA to 0.83%. Gross Credit Cost reduced significantly to 6.5%. Return on Average Assets (ROAA) stood at 3.9%, and Return on Average Equity (ROAE) at 16.5%. The Capital Adequacy Ratio remains comfortable at 25.6%, reinforcing SBI Cards' position as a dominant player.
