Bank of India's Q1 FY27 results indicate robust growth.

**Business Performance:** Global business surged 16.57% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹17.55 Lakh Cr. This was fueled by a 14.90% YoY increase in global deposits to ₹9,57,924 Cr and an 18.64% YoY rise in global advances to ₹7,97,775 Cr. The bank's strategic focus on Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) loans yielded strong results, with RAM advances growing 19.75% YoY to ₹3,92,833 Cr. Retail loans alone saw a 21% YoY expansion.

**Growth Drivers or Strategy:** The bank continues to strengthen its RAM portfolio. Digital transformation is a key strategic pillar, highlighted by a comprehensive Digital Lending Platform now live for 52 products and a 22% YoY growth in digital transaction volumes.

**Recent Developments:** The bank has approved raising ₹7,500 Cr through AT1 and Tier-II bonds in FY27. Key operational enhancements include a new disaster-recovery data centre, an operational centralized video-KYC centre, and expanded digital services for overseas branches.

**Key Financial Metrics:** Net Profit jumped 36.23% YoY to ₹3,068 Cr, while Net Interest Income (NII) increased 12.61% YoY to ₹6,833 Cr. Operating Profit rose 25.99% YoY to ₹5,051 Cr. Asset quality improved significantly, with Gross NPA at 1.81% and Net NPA at 0.51%, supported by a robust 93.83% provision coverage. The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) stood strong at 18.69%.

**Management Commentary / Outlook:** Management emphasized the continued strengthening of asset quality and positive contributions from international operations. The bank remains focused on driving digital innovation and inclusive growth initiatives.
