Birla Corp's Q1 cement sales volume rose 5% to 5.05 mt, with revenue up 7% to 2,669 Cr. Net profit fell 3.3% to 116 Cr due to costs and price pressure. Jute division posted 4.28 Cr cash profit despite production decline. Cement price recovery is anticipated by the December quarter.
