Navneet Education saw Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue largely flat at Rs. 788 Cr. Publications revenue dipped 3% to Rs. 405 Cr, but domestic stationery impressed with a 26% surge to Rs. 146 Cr. This strong local performance helped offset a 9% drop in export stationery to Rs. 234 Cr, highlighting a structural shift towards domestic drivers.

Strategic focus includes capitalizing on curriculum changes in Maharashtra and Gujarat for publications, alongside long-term investments in branding and non-paper stationery. A temporary challenge was underutilization of the polymer plant for exports. The quarter also included exceptional gains of Rs. 14 Cr from provision reversal and investment fair value.

Consolidated EBITDA declined 12.8% to Rs. 198 Cr, and Profit After Tax was down 10.2% at Rs. 141 Cr, resulting in an EPS of Rs. 6.4. Management is optimistic, anticipating H1 FY27 will better reflect growth from curriculum changes due to business spillover. They also foresee substantial long-term benefits from their branding and non-paper stationery initiatives.
