Deccan Gold Mines has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI) to advance critical minerals processing and battery materials research. This collaboration is key to Deccan Gold's strategy to build an integrated critical minerals business, combining scientific research with advanced mineral processing and downstream value addition. The joint effort will focus on nickel extraction, beneficiation, nickel-carbon battery materials, and value-addition technologies for lithium concentrates from the company’s Mozambique operations. This move aims to accelerate indigenous technologies and strengthen domestic supply chains for strategic minerals crucial for India's energy transition and advanced manufacturing.
