IndiGo reported a Q1 FY27 net loss of ₹240 Cr, a sharp reversal from last year's profit, mainly due to an ~80% YoY surge in fuel costs and rupee depreciation. Total income grew 19% to ₹25,600 Cr, with strong 21% yield growth and effective pricing. May was a record month for domestic passenger traffic.

Management notes ongoing high fuel and currency headwinds. Q2 capacity is guided flat YoY due to seasonal adjustments, while passenger unit revenue is expected to grow over 25%. IndiGo is investing long-term, signing for 1,000+ new engines and enhancing customer offerings. Despite current cost pressures, the airline remains committed to India's aviation growth and disciplined operations.
