30-07-2026 | 10:03 pm

Chambal Fertilisers reported Q1 operational income down 12% YoY to 5,027 Cr, but strong performance in other segments boosted operating EBITDA by 12% YoY to 850.9 Cr, and net profit by 10% YoY to 703.5 Cr. EPS stood at 17.56. While Urea sales volume saw a dip due to planned shutdowns, Complex Fertilisers, Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC), Speciality Nutrients (SN), and Biologicals showed improved margins.

Strategically, Chambal is advancing a new 1,645 Cr Urea project to become India's largest single-location producer. Its diversification into industrial chemicals is progressing with Weak Nitric Acid and Ammonium Nitrate Solution production already live, and the Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant commissioning underway. The company also launched 7 new CPC/SN products and a new Biological product in Q1, solidifying its "single-window agri-solutions" focus while actively mitigating El Niño's impact.
