APL Apollo Tubes reported Q1FY27 sales volume of 7.45 Lakh Ton, down 6% YoY, attributing it to a soft demand environment. Despite this, revenue grew 8% YoY to ₹5,607 Cr, EBITDA rose 11% YoY to ₹411 Cr, and Net Profit also increased 11% YoY to ₹263 Cr. A key highlight was a robust EBITDA/ton of ₹5,522, up 18% YoY, reflecting an improved sales mix and strong brand power.
The company is geared for future growth, aiming for 8 Mn Ton total capacity by FY28 through greenfield and debottlenecking projects. Strategic focus remains on value-added products and expanding market share in the growing HR Coil based steel tube segment, including significant opportunities in solar structures and housing/commercial buildings. APL Apollo is also committed to ESG, targeting Net Zero by 2050 and reducing emissions.
Management expects demand to pick up in 2HFY27 due to increased infrastructure spending. The company maintains a strong balance sheet with net cash of ₹1,410 Cr and efficient working capital management.
