JBML's Q1 FY27 results show total income up 12.58% YoY to INR 626.97 Cr, driven by higher MSIL volumes and improved capacity utilization. Sheet Metal turnover also grew 25%. However, profit (PAT) fell 8.10% to INR 21.20 Cr, and EBITDA dropped 4.18% to INR 63.10 Cr, reflecting margin pressure.

Growth was fueled by a better product mix and ongoing efforts to minimize energy costs through renewable energy. The company maintained stable finance costs despite expanding new plants.

Profitability was challenged by adverse commodity prices from the West Asia conflict, increased employee costs due to minimum wage hikes, and a one-time surge in maintenance expenses. A lower tax rate from adopting a new regime helped mitigate some impact.
