IG Petrochemicals delivered a strong Q1 FY27, with revenue jumping 30% YoY to ₹625 Cr. Profitability saw a sharp recovery, as EBITDA surged to ₹120 Cr (19.2% margin) from ₹13 Cr a year ago. Net profit (PAT) was ₹71 Cr, a significant turnaround. The non-phthalic business also contributed ₹49 Cr.
The company is strategically diversifying its revenue beyond Phthalic Anhydride. Key initiatives include forward integration with new facilities: the Plasticizer plant is slated for Q2 FY27 production start, and the Compressed Biogas (CBG) project in Q3 FY27. Exports now make up 10% of total revenue. Management highlights strong domestic demand from infrastructure and Asia-Pacific growth as key drivers. Their focus remains on strategic investments in value-added products to expand the earnings base. IGPL also reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 70%, underlining its sustainability commitment.
