Manappuram Finance delivered a strong Q1 FY2027! Consolidated AUM surged 57.2% YoY to ₹69,635 Cr, while Profit After Tax (PAT) jumped 341.4% YoY to ₹585 Cr. Gold loan AUM was the key driver, nearly doubling to ₹57,006 Cr (+97.9% YoY), boosted by its Online Gold Loan (OGL) accounting for 90% of gold AUM. Microfinance (Asirvad) AUM also grew 7.2% YoY to ₹7,188 Cr.
The company is focused on expanding its gold loan branch network and leveraging digital channels. Asirvad Microfinance is optimizing branch quality, enhancing risk management, and investing in training for efficiency. Vehicle & Equipment Finance (VEF) disbursals are paused as the company reassesses strategy, prioritizing collections.
Key metrics are solid: Consolidated Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 3.5% and Return on Equity (ROE) to 14.3%. Standalone Operating Expenses to AUM (Opex/AUM) reduced to 3.8%. Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) remains strong at 21.3%, with asset quality improving (standalone GNPA 1.6%, NNPA 1.1%). The company aims to be the financial partner of choice for under-banked customers, led by its robust gold loan business.
