Max Healthcare, India's second-largest hospital chain, reported robust financial results for the quarter. The financial results for the quarter show profit after tax increased 3% to ₹ 357 Cr. Q1 FY27 occupancy stood at ~75%, with 73% of beds in metros like Delhi NCR.

The company is aggressively expanding capacity, targeting ~4,000 new beds in the next 3-4 years through brownfield, greenfield, and asset-light models. Recent developments include the acquisition of Kalinga Hospital (Max Bhubaneswar), adding 250 beds, which is being integrated into its operating model. Max Healthcare is also leveraging its digital platform, Max MyHealth, and expanding capital-light adjacencies like Max Lab and Max@Home. Management highlighted a strong financial profile and strategic M&A for long-term growth.
