Kaveri Seed's Q1 FY27 revenue fell to RS. 815 Cr from RS. 945 Cr YoY, with net profit at RS. 271.3 Cr vs. RS. 316 Cr. This was largely due to a weak monsoon and short sowing window. Despite sales decline, operating margins remained stable at ~35%, supported by lower production costs. New cotton products now form 37% of sales, and new maize hybrids contribute over 20%. Exports surged nearly 4x to RS. 5.79 Cr. Management views this as a "one-off" year and expects sales recovery in Karnataka maize during Q2/Q3, maintaining a positive 15-18% long-term growth outlook based on a strong product pipeline. Cash on books is RS. 267 Cr.
