Som Distilleries & Breweries reported Q1 FY27 consolidated volumes of 45.79 lakh cases, total income of INR 268.8 Cr, and EBITDA of INR 15.2 Cr. The quarter was severely impacted by operational and regulatory disruptions in Madhya Pradesh, causing an estimated revenue loss of INR 250-260 Cr from the region.

Despite these challenges, the company saw a strong recovery in Karnataka and Odisha, with case sales increasing by 30% and 40% respectively. A major highlight was the successful commissioning of the Uttar Pradesh brewery in June, adding 10 million cases of annual beer capacity, an investment of INR 300 Cr made without external debt.

Management's key priorities for FY27 include resolving the Madhya Pradesh issues, sustaining growth in recovering markets, and ramping up the UP facility. They anticipate FY27 revenue to be around INR 1,000-1,100 Cr. The company is also focusing on strengthening its premium portfolio and plans to launch an Indian single malt this financial year. While raw material costs rose 7.5-8% YoY, management remains confident in its brand strength and path to recovery.
