Shilchar Technologies held a Q1 FY27 earnings conference call to discuss financial results and operational updates. Management highlighted that the quarter was impacted by the West Asia crisis, leading to increased shipping costs for exports and delays in passing on raw material price hikes domestically. Despite this, the company is on track with its annual revenue targets, with a strong domestic order book providing visibility. A new CAPEX project is progressing well and is expected to drive future growth. The management expressed confidence in recovering export business once shipping costs normalize and maintaining profitability.

The company reported Q1 FY27 revenue from operations of Rs. 134.60 crore, EBITDA of Rs. 29.23 crore, and profit after tax of Rs. 20.86 crore. Capacity utilization in Q1 was 60-65%, with plans to reach near 100% for the full year. The order book stands at approximately Rs. 500 crore, with a 70% domestic and 30% export split. Management anticipates improved business momentum in Q2 compared to Q1, with domestic demand providing strong support. The upcoming Phase-3 expansion is on track for commissioning in April 2027.

Management believes the current export challenges are logistical and not demand-driven, with customer demand remaining firm. They anticipate margins to improve from Q1 levels, driven by current raw material prices and a recovery in the business mix. The company is also exploring future expansion possibilities on recently acquired land.

The overall sentiment from the call is cautiously optimistic, with management focused on navigating current headwinds and capitalizing on future growth opportunities.
