S&P Global Ratings has assigned Bank of India a 'BBB' long-term and 'A-2' short-term issuer credit rating with a stable outlook.

The assessment is supported by sufficient capitalization, solid funding, healthy liquidity, and a very high likelihood of extraordinary government support due to the bank's crucial role as a public sector lender.
