Honda India Power Products Limited has received an income tax assessment order for the assessment year 2023-24 involving disallowances of certain expenditures, resulting in a tax demand including interest of 29.82 Cr.

The company has clarified that there is no material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities from this order, noting that similar issues for previous years have already been decided in its favor by higher courts.

To contest the demand, the company will file an appeal before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal within the prescribed time limit.
