HAL's joint venture, SAFHAL, signed a contract with Safran Helicopter Engines to develop the 'Aravalli' engine (3,500-4,000 shp). This engine will power HAL's upcoming 13-ton Indian Multi-Role Helicopters, significantly boosting India's self-reliance in aerospace propulsion and strengthening the long-term strategic partnership.
