HEG Limited — Important, 10-07-2025: General Updates
HEG Limited has announced a board meeting on August 20, 2025, to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company reported a revenue decline to ₹2,153 Cr and net profit drop to ₹101 Cr in FY25 due to subdued global steel demand and pricing pressures. Despite this, HEG maintained an 80% capacity utilization after expanding to 100,000 tons, the world’s largest single-site graphite electrode plant. The company is advancing a ₹1,850 Cr graphite anode project for lithium-ion batteries, targeting 20,000 tons capacity by 2027. A strategic demerger will separate graphite and anode businesses into two listed entities to enhance focus and value. HEG remains optimistic on long-term growth driven by global steel decarbonization and EAF demand expansion.
