HEG Limited has announced a board meeting on August 20, 2025, to consider the financial results for the quarter and half-year. The company reported a challenging year with revenue from operations declining to ₹2,153 Cr from ₹2,395 Cr, and net profit falling to ₹101 Cr from ₹232 Cr, impacted by subdued global steel demand and pricing pressures. Despite this, HEG maintained an 80% capacity utilization at its 100,000-tonne graphite electrode plant, the largest single-site facility in the western world, reinforcing its position as a low-cost producer. The company is advancing a ₹1,850 Cr graphite anode project for lithium-ion batteries, expected operational by 2027, aiming to tap into growing domestic demand and reduce import dependence. A corporate restructuring plan to demerge the graphite business into a separately listed entity, HEG Graphite Limited, was approved, enabling focused growth strategies. HEG continues to emphasize sustainability, with initiatives in energy efficiency, water management, and social responsibility, including significant CSR activities in education and community welfare. The board recommends a final dividend of ₹1.80 per share, subject to shareholder approval.
