HEG Limited — PPTs, 01-05-2026: Investor Presentation
HEG reported a strong FY26 with revenue from operations growing ~19% YoY to ₹2,568 Cr. Full-year profit after tax (PAT) soared ~78% to ₹181 Cr, and EPS reached ₹9.36. However, Q4 FY26 saw a PAT loss of ₹163 Cr, primarily due to a fair valuation loss on an investment.
The company recently expanded its graphite electrode capacity to 100,000 tons and plans further expansion to 115,000 tons by early 2028. This capitalizes on the global shift towards less carbon-intensive Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) for steelmaking, boosting demand for electrodes.
Geopolitical conflicts are driving up input costs, energy, and freight, leading to anticipated price increases for graphite electrodes. Management anticipates continued demand, particularly from a growing global EAF capacity pipeline and India's strong steel sector. Europe's CBAM policy is also expected to favor EAF-based steel.
