Godrej Properties has significantly strengthened its control over its step-down subsidiary, Godrej Redevelopers (Mumbai) Private Limited (GRMPL). This was achieved by cancelling a 47.32% equity stake held by an external entity, Shubh Properties Coöperatief U.A., without any consideration. As a result, Godrej Projects Development Limited's (GPDL) stake in GRMPL will increase from 51% to 96.81%. This move consolidates Godrej Properties' ownership of the real estate development entity. While GRMPL's recent turnover has been negligible (NIL in recent years, 0.28 Cr in FY23-24), this strategic step ensures greater operational control.
